What Sailfish stores and where
Sailfish saves your windows, spaces and tabs in a file called State.json. Chromium, the engine Sailfish runs on, keeps its own data for each profile, such as history, cookies and site data, in a folder called Engine next to it.
Both live in ~/Library/Application Support/Browser on your Mac. The folder is named Browser for now, after the app's working name.
To remove everything Sailfish has stored, quit Sailfish and delete that folder.
No account
Sailfish has no accounts and nothing to sign up for. It has no sync feature, and it does not use iCloud.
No analytics, telemetry or crash reporting of our own
Sailfish's own code includes no analytics, telemetry or crash reporting, and it makes no network requests to us.
Chromium and Google
Sailfish runs on Chromium, and Google is the default search engine. What you search for goes to Google, and so may what you type in the address bar, which Chromium uses to fetch search suggestions.
Installing and updating extensions goes through the Chrome Web Store. Chromium also includes other built-in services that may contact Google. Sailfish does not currently turn these off.
This website
This website uses no analytics and sets no cookies. It is hosted on Vercel, which processes standard request data, such as IP addresses, to serve it.
Changes
When what Sailfish stores or sends changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
